This is the first of four meetings this season between the Pats and the Kootenay Ice. The Pats went 2-1-0-1 with the Cranbrook Kids, with Brett Leffler leading the way with 3 goals. The next time the two will meet will be on New Year's Eve in Cranbrook.
16's to the World U-17's:
Last week Team West, comprising of players from Manitoba and Saskatchewan, announced their squad that will play in the upcoming World U-17 Hockey Challenge during the holiday season in Timmins, Ontario. Tyler Borstmayer was named as one of the defensive core with Team West. Earlier this week, Team Pacific (made up of Alberta and B.C.) announced their team, and Myles Bell will be manning their defensive core.
NHL Central Scouting:
Earlier this week, NHL Central Scouting Bureau (CSB) announced their fall rankings for the CHL, and there were 2 Regina Pats in the top 25 in the WHL. Jordan Weal was the 10th ranked skater, while defenceman, Brandon Davidson was the 22nd ranked skater.
Next Action:
The Pats will hit their road trip tomorrow night in Kennewick, Wash., against the Tri-City Americans. It's a 9:05 Regina time puck drop with the pre-game show beginning at 8:40 on 620 CKRM.
